| I am trying to make some kind of a start on my assignment, I have got all my reserch together, and have made a draft plan of what I want to include. Just wondered if someone would be kind enough to glance over it, and let me know if it seems reasonable? Introduction....Midwife's role in providing skin to skin (this is also my title) background..... when was it introduced...who by. What is skin to skin.....contact between mum & babe immediately after delivery for as long as wanted. Who can do it.......Mum, dad, breast or bottle feeding. Why do it......regulates baby's temp, mother baby bonding, initiates breastfeeding, breast crawl, calms baby, baby latches easier. Difficulties......lack of staff, busy unit, unit rountine, partner jealousy, medical (link this to kangaroo care) Conclusion. I only have 1000 words for this assignment, so I may not be able to include all this, so then need to work out what I NEED to include and what I can safely leave out.
