Default Assignement advice pls

I am trying to make some kind of a start on my assignment, I have got all my reserch together, and have made a draft plan of what I want to include.

Just wondered if someone would be kind enough to glance over it, and let me know if it seems reasonable?

Introduction....Midwife's role in providing skin to skin (this is also my title)

background..... when was it introduced...who by.

What is skin to skin.....contact between mum & babe immediately after delivery for as long as wanted.

Who can do it.......Mum, dad, breast or bottle feeding.

Why do it......regulates baby's temp, mother baby bonding, initiates breastfeeding, breast crawl, calms baby, baby latches easier.

Difficulties......lack of staff, busy unit, unit rountine, partner jealousy, medical (link this to kangaroo care)

Conclusion.

I only have 1000 words for this assignment, so I may not be able to include all this, so then need to work out what I NEED to include and what I can safely leave out.

Looks good MM...

My comments are in purple... as if you cant tell lol

Introduction....Midwife's role in providing skin to skin (this is also my title)

background..... when was it introduced...who by brief outline of main arguements

What is skin to skin.....contact between mum & babe immediately after delivery for as long as wanted. - outline best practice/Trust guidelines on length of time - relevant studies

Who can do it.......Mum, dad/birth partner, breast or bottle feeding.

Why do it......benefits regulates baby's temp, mother baby bonding, initiates breastfeeding, breast crawl, calms baby, baby latches easier. - kangeroo care here too - role of parentcraft in education of skin to skin - relevant studies - evidence based practice

Difficulties......lack of staff, busy unit, unit rountine, partner jealousy, medical (link this to kangaroo care) unit culture/staff & parents & cultural attitudes

Conclusion.
