Default "The angle of the dangle"

Hi all,
In our PBL session today we were branstorming about BF advice and support for women with positioning etc... We mentioned "tummy to mummy" and someone said a new one was "the angle of the dangle", to do with positioning but wondered if anyone had any other info or articles about this?
Thanks

They say the rugby ball hold, but personally I hate that, it was a man that invented that term (obviously) I mean how many women would have held a rugby ball? Let alone clutching their baby like one?
Nooooooooooo I don't like it, and I cringe when I here it used.. And usually ask "so you've played alot of rugby then have you?" lol always pees the unimaginative mw off x

I nearly spat my coffee over the computer when I read the title of this post...lol

I don't know for sure, but I wouldn't think this is English - sounds a bit American to me. Although Suzanne Culson often speaks about being able to feed a baby upside down, so maybe... who knows?

Try:

www.breastfeedingmadesimple.com

There is an animated latch and also a segment about improving latch and finding the comfort zone. There is also a fantastic video made by Unicef India which shows a newborn crawling up its mother and latching on its self - amazing!! Met the author at a b/feeding enrichment Day and she is a lactation consultant.

Hope this helps.

Oh that is funny. Not heard that before. It must be referring to Suzanne Coulson's biological nurturing that someone has already mentioned. Practising Midwife has some articles on it, if you are interested. Can find the exact refs tomorrow if you want.
