Smile eating disorders

I have an essay in which I have to write about the physiological changes of normal pregnancy before i write about the altered state in relation to anorexia.
can anyone advise if I on the right track in thinking I should write about the digestion system in relation to the women's need for increased energy for the fetus before linking this to the impact of inadequate nutrition on the various systems or is this a bit too simplistic?
Any help would be appreciated
