Hiya groovychick
Didnt the uni give you more feedback? Would one of the tutors have a peek at it for you? Dont know if were encouraged to look at each others essays...??!! Does anyone know?
It might be worth getting some more specific info ie was it your referencing? was it your use of references within the text? Was it the specific reflective model you used? Do they want more primary references or from more varied sources?

Maybe another tutor would give you different feedback IMO 'they' all tend to want slightly different things... confusing....
Good luck. I'm kindof in the same boat - set myself a high standard and now I'm just praying for a pass....!

thanks groovychick
at my uni we've got some tutors that give lots of feedback and others very little. A few of my cohort have made appointments to go through their essay with the tutor who marked it to get more specific feedback. Take heart to get a B you must have done more than a good 'attempt'. Maybe try using a different model of reflection or try tweaking the way you phrase things. Have you anyone not midwifery related at home that could give you an opinion - I sometimes ask my OH as its amazing what he'll pick up as a complete outsider. PM me if I can help more.
Good luck!!

Why don't you send me the essay that you have feedback on and I will rewrite in an academic style for you. That way, you could use the same style for future essays.

I did this for my friend doing a social work degree and she ended up getting a first!

Hey this is such a good idea and so very kind of you. Would you be able to post it on here if Groovy doesnt mind! or write a assignment on complete gibberish Personally I struggle with academic language, during tutorial support I was told that it will come with experience. However I have not really seen good examples yet. If you cannot I understand. x
