Wow that is really lovely! Amazing!
I was almost put off breastfeeding because I had seen on a maternity programme when a midwife had grabbed a woman's breast and man-haddled it into a baby's mouth... and I was shocked that they might do it to me! As it turned out I had to have a general and a c section with Chloe and came around with her sucking away! I didn't even know she was a little girl at that point!

I just wish mums to be were shown this antenatally. (Think I may try and incorporate this into an antenatal class in my 3rd year, resourced permitting!)

It can be real hard work for the MW, STMW and the HCA's supporting women with breastfeeding, when all the mums instinctively want to do is help the baby by stuffing nipple in it's mouth and they (understandably) look at you like you've gone mad when you suggest that they let baby do the work!

And I think it can be frustrating for the mums too, especially when they're not sure what they should be doing...

We watched this clip in uni when we were looking at breastfeeding... really interesting to see. After all, cat dogs and other animals don't have their babies plonked on their breasts to get them to suckle so why should we?

Nature amazes me more every day - that is a great clip - thanks for posting!
I too agree that this type of skin to skin/breast crawl should be taught antenatally to mums and dads to show them that there are natural ways of getting the bond and feeding going without having to be manhandled.
