I get the loan, I get the means tested, this is £3, 100 a year, in payments of £1000 ish in Feb, june and november.

I recommend it, esp when they chop the bursary as they did to me

it doesn't need to be paid back until you earn over £16,000 pa anyway, so what the hell, we need all the money we can get!

How do you get more than £2600? I was led to believe this is all we're entitled to.

That's what I get? Dunno, I filled the forms in last year, and just did the same for this year and this is what I have. I think it is the means tested bit that means I get some more. It does depend on your local authority though.

I have applied for the means tested thing this time. I didn't last year as I was told we had to apply for the non means tested loan.

Not sure if it will make any difference, but it's worth a try lol.

My LA quoted 2,885.00 Max for the maintenance loan.

What about the uni bursary? Edge Hill have a general student one for £500 (I think?) Are we entitled to that?

I'm worried too!

I'm a mortgaged single mum! I think my budget will be smaller (after including every penny I can find that I could apply for) and there will be the added cost of transport. Kids will have to learn to love beans.
