Talking Bursary ???

Hi i was wondering if anyone knew when to start applying for the bursary, childcare etc, as i have had a letter back from ucas saying not to wait for an offer of a place and start applying for student finance asap, but isn't this a bit premature???? they say this way you will know what help you can get. I'm sooooooo confused HELP!!!!!

You'll need a place before you apply for finance as you have no place to say you're studying and no course to study for. Wait until you're offered a place and enquire as to whether the uni sends out your forms, otherwise they can be download from the SGU website.

Hello there Adele, I know you can only apply for bursary when you've been offered a place as you need the uni to confirm who you say you are etc.. I think same goes for the student loans aswell, however have you applied for the mature students grant (I know its only £30 per week but its better than nothing x) Let us know when you hear back, Preston seem to be taking there time, but in the last 2 years 3 tutors have retired, and not as yet been replaced... so that won't help speed things along really will it?
