Default working while on the course

Money can be an issue and a lot of people ask if you can still hold down a job whilst a student midwife so i have done a poll to see if anyone does work so people will have a better idea about if working whilst on the course can be done.

I don't think I'll have time to work.. What with a 3 yr old, husband, coursework and the travelling.. Might try joining bank for during annual leave but thats about it.

A few of the girls on my course do work and if you only do a few hours hopefully youl be okay, it helps if you have a good boss aswell i suppose, i know my friend used to work and her boss used to let her take her books in with her so she could revise and stuff while she was at work.

I am going to have to work if I want to stay on the course, I just can't manage financially otherwise. Not sure how it is going to work out though. I am shattered now without working.

Nope, I don't work. I did do some teaching a while back, have given that up now as year 2 is too intense.

Having the two children here means it wouldn't be cost effective now, especially on the nil childcare I now get.

I don't think I could realistically as the bursary would drop too
