Question Maintenance Loan Confusion!!
Hi

Can someone advise me please?? I am filling out the PN1 forms, when looking through the notes it says that if you are entitled to an income assessed NHS bursary then you can only get the minimum amount of maintenace loan, is this correct or have any of you received more by filling out the extra income details bit??

I am confused too. I have started completing my PN1 but someone told me you shouldnt do this til after you have done your bursary application as it can affect it. Thing is, how do you and when do you apply for the degree means tested bursary. I dont start til Jan 09 so am I being premature. Does all this info get sent to us nearer the time. Any help or advice much appreciated

The best people to ask about applying are your uni. It is too early to apply now. You could also check the bursary website for their up to date info too

hiya

i get a bursary and the childcare allowance, what is the PN1 form, we are really struggling financially and we may even lose the house if things carry on, so any extra money will really help. Cant even buy any shopping this week, looks like im at my mums for tea

PN1 form is for a student loan.I think you can only apply for this if you are doing a degree course and are getting a means tested bursary. I may be wrong and im sure someone will correct me if I am.
