Unhappy The worry of not having any money!!!

I just want to let my stress out on all you guys instead of my poor boyfriend!!

Im doing a nursing degree at the moment and im scared that if i leave im not going to get the same bursary and loan i get now. I've also just come off the phone to the loan people and they said i am only entitled to a loan for the next 2 years so year 3 is gonna be awful anyway!!(but im not thinking that far ahead yet!!)

Just so worried im not going to be financially able to do this degree.......

Clare

I know how you feel, I'm so worried we won't be able to manage financially either but I just know that I've got to give it a go or I'll regret it forever.

Clare
life on a budget is hard, just ask a few of the girls on here??!! But, we somehow always find a way as our passion for the course means we wont leave.
Why do you think you will not get the same amount of bursary? The loan bit i understand, but i would have thought your bursary would stay the same, unless I'm being incredibly naive?
Anyway hun, we are all here to support you and one another, go for it!!

I know exactly where you're coming from with this... I've been losing sleep thinking about how we'll cope. We currently have 2 very good wages coming into the house... reasonable mortgage and affordable lifestyle... but what happens when my money goes and all I get is a bursary? I've already been told I'm not entitled to a loan as Bangor don't offer them on the Midwifery course.... and any websites I look at tell me I'll get a big fat zero to help out!

I could always sell a kidney, I suppose....

It is really hard living on this money, there is no positive thing about it. Only I guess that it is not forever.

I am already becoming quite fed up with being so poor, it does grind you down after a while!

Especially with this course as it is so intense. But you do find a way and plod on through. I don't sleep too well right now, but hey, that helps with night shifts! and learning takes your mind off of things.

We are all in the same boat here, and at least we can socialise here without it costing too much!

The thought that keeps me and prob everyone else here going, is that in a few years we should be earning a reasonable wage doing a job that we love and get so much back from (far more than mere money can buy)

I hope that helps you

Thank you for all your support and help, i guess like you all say its dealing with the short term to get to the long term goal!! I've always said that i would rather be doing a job i love with less money than a job i hate with lots of money!!

Thank you xxx

Claire, thankyou!

I have been getting a bit fed up recently, with the money thing and feeling a bit down with it all, replying to you has made me try to find the positives and I have!

So thankyou very much for helping me see the light at the end of the tunnel, I had been wearing very thick shades!

The money side of things is really hard, but I keep telling myself that it won't be forever, and that I have to keep going towards the finishing line.

Trust me you already have!

That's what i love about this place! It makes no difference if you are wanting to get in or a third year/RM whatever, we can help eachother in so many ways, sometimes without even realising!

Someone shut me up I 'm getting sentimental again
