Default NHS Bursary

hi, ladies I don't know if this is any help but i rang the NHS Bursay helpline yesterday, and the told me that they are no longer sending the bursary forms out as it costs them way to much and it is actually down to us to print the forms off ourselfs,

http://www.nhspa.gov.uk/sgu/Forms/08...eg)Sept-08.pdf

the helpline Number is 0845 358 6655

But what ever you do don't send it back without the reg' Number on it as they will send it staright back

I think the only thing the NHS send you will be your reg number,

hope this make sense and isn't to confusing

am presuming you are already in receipt of NHS bursary as you are doing a nursing course? So your reg number, is just your student ref number which you will already have from your first year bursary payments.

You will need to speak to them, but as you get the same payments regardless of which degree you are doing (unless your nursing was a diploma??) I am thinking that you would just reapply for your second year payments in the same way, ie the repplication form online.

This makes sense to me, but understand why you're confused!! They are probably overwhelmed with calls at the mo, so be patient i'm sure you will get through in the end.

LOL, I may have come to your rescue, but didn't do very well did I??!! Thought they would have treated you as a continuing application, but obvisouly not. Oh well, it's a good bit of info to know, so you have taught me today too!
Hope you get allocated the right amount of money, or at least as much as you are expecting. Can't see why it would reduce (it does in the third year apparently) just because you have switched course, but wouldn't like to second guess again, so will shut up!
