Default Financial help?

I live with my boyfriend and we have a mortgage together, no children.
At the moment we both work, i am the higher earner out of us both but if go to uni he will be the only earner in the household, he isnt on that great of a wage.

What help am i going to be entitled to?

Well as I understand it you can get a student loan of about £2265 a year (you pay it back when qualified and earning over £15,000. Then there is the means tested bursary (between nil and about £7000 i think) depending on income of you and OH. You also get 25% of your council tax. In other words, not a lot!

hi linzi,

go to www.nhsstudentgrants.co.uk. there's a bursery calculator on there to work out what you'd be entitled to. i phoned them too (number on website) and they were lovely and told me some other stuff too. i'm sure you'll find this through out midwifery, everyone i've asked for advice and info (especially on here!!) have been really helpful.

hope this is of some help x
