Default Ready Reckoner for childcare allowance

Has anyone done this form (just as a guidance?) i'm struggling on one part of it and the 2 ways i do it mean a huge difference!!!

basically i am stuck on the part (Step B5) where it asks what your estimated childcare costs are (mine are only £1876 for the year) -then it says it will pay up to £182.75 per week (2 or more kids). in this same box it says

'multiply the number of weeks by the applicable amount for your children to get the maximum available childcare allowance amount before income assessment:'

so mine would be 52 weeks of the year x £182.75 (2 kids) right?? that gives me a max of £9503pa...

....so now i have an excess income (apparently found out earlier in the form! although i certainly don't feel like we have an excess income!!) and so i assume this excess would be used to pay for the childcare?the rest of the form just confuses me as it seems to say i will get £9000 odd for childcare -whereas i obviously don't need this much as stated earlier my costs are only £1800 something. aarrgghhh -so will they give me all of that? i hope they do, although i'm sure they wouldn't just give me 100% of my childcare for nothing?????????

Anyone any clue on what on earth i am going on about!!???

I'm not really sure - I find it very confussing myself. But it sounds to me like you'll be unlikely to get much if anything for childcare - I'd just call them and ask - you should get more sense from them over the phone!

Sorry I couldn't be much help...

put in your weekly childcare cost!
It pays a maximum of £9000 odd pound for the year if you are paying that much money.
If you are only paying £50 a week, then put that in the box. It iwll then work out 85% of that and award you that figure
