No because you never know, circumstances could change and trust me if you get in touch with em they get all confused and completely change everything, we've all had lots of problems with the childcare element of the bursary, plus its the hols and you will have to pay to take them out/whatever for the day x

I would claim all 5 days because like tracy said, you never know what might happen and your mom may not be available.

That and I'm sure that when your mom does watch them, she could use a little extra for taking them places. I know my mom loves taking my kids places when she has them, but it gets costly for herself, her son and my three sons, so I try and give her something. She never asks for it, but I like to help.

I totally agree with you, but my mum will not take money off me for looking after the girls, so i will buy her a huge bouquet of flowers and some choccy, i always make sure the girls have spending money if they take them outso it doesnt cost my mum and dad in that way thanks for your reply

I think that the childcare has to be provided by a registered childminder or organisation in order to qualify for the bursary.

If your mum isnt registered, it may well be worth her looking into registering with the local authority.

HI

Ive got a registered childminder, my mum has offered to have them maybe for 2 days in the holidays but we dont know which days or if something comes up and she cant have them. I dont know what to put in the childcare form because we are not sure of the days she can have them. does that make sense

You'll have to put down the regular days the childminder has them and claim for that. If your mum takes over a day or two in the holidays, you'll probably still have to pay the childminder anyway as you've got a place with her/him for that day that another child cannot have.
