Default Got the results

Of my clinical skills exam today, and as I expected, I failed, I wasn't the only one, but that doesn't make me feel much better

I have to re-take them in January, but I will get a lot of help from the tutors and uni, which I suppose is good.

The only positive point in all this is that I can carry on with the course, which I didn't think I could do, so I suppose all is not quite lost.

I felt really gutted when I was told I had failed, even though I was expecting it, I wanted to be able to put this behind me and have one less thing to think about, but now it is still hanging over my head along with everything else.

Sorry for moaning, but I just had to get it off my chest.

Pauline

Oh I am so sorry missy, how awful for you. I can't beleive they make you take those things so early on.

Huge hugs to you I know you will do well in January.

Wish I could say something to make you feel better, thinking of you

Thanks smwife,

I had a restless night last night, but it gave me the chance to think things through, and I have worked out a plan of action regarding all the work I've got to finish. Just got to hope it works now.

I am determined to pass the stupid thing in January, and then at least I can move on to the next thing.

MissyP,

Bless you, keep in mind that many people dont make it through the first attempt and its often because they have ever sat an OSCE before and its not like anything else you probably would have done before.

Do they not have practice OSCEs at your Uni? ours does and they were a great help esp in year 1 as then you have more of an idea of what to expect when you get to the real one.....

If I can help in anyway, let me know,

Big hugs

Jxxx

No, we didn't have practice clinical skills sessions, we could go in ourselves and practice if we wanted, but nothing arranged.
