I have decided that Id like us all to put our heads together and come up with a statement of what 'We believe' it can encompass our view of midwifery, of training, of applying, of site life .....


Like this....

At SMNET we believe.....

That our members deserve the best support, advice and guidance

That our members respect and genuinely care for one another

That our members are making life long friendships via our website

That SMNET is not just a website it is a community of friends

In trying our best

In making our mums proud

In creating resources to help other members even though we may never benefit personally

In listening to one another (well, listening in a reading way!)


Please add YOUR thoughts on what YOU believe i.e. you may believe that every woman has the right to chose where she has her baby etc, this will be a really special thread that sums up who we are as a community

Gorgeous RG! Thats the spirit, theres so much we believe in - like diversity, equal opportunities, in a fair selection process for those applying to Uni ...... etc .... see I could go on and on!!

At SMNET we believe everyone has a voice, to share their views, ideas and support within the SMNET community

We believe that every women has the right to birth their baby, if safe to do so, in an environment that is of their choosing. Whether at home, birth centre or hospital, she should be given the knowledge to make an informed choice, be fully supported in that choice and given every opportunity to experience a happy and safe birthing experience. One which will hold memories that can be treasured for a lifetime.
