Default Does anyone know?

Where I can get a birth register book from that doesn't cost the earth please?

I know the RCM do one, but their online shop is closed and has been for a while now.

I want a nice book I can record my births in (when I eventually get some lol)

Thanks Pauline

Hi Pauline,

I haven't seen any for a while. Sometimes the odd one is available on ebay. They had them at the RCM Student Conference in 2006. Or maybe your RCM steward has a couple?

Thanks Jaqui,

I will keep a look out on ebay.

I have no idea who my RCM steward is lol, but maybe I can find out somehow.

I didn't think we were allowed to record births TBH do you mean just to write the date and events or something? I've just got my EU directives that tell me, but I can only remember about 3/4 of the deliveries, terrible I know I have a poor memory x

I just have a nice lined book that I got out of Smiths. Mines just a small A6 one and I have one mother per page and a few salient details and thoughts about what happened at the time.

I record both deliverys and witnesses.

Thanks Chathamgirl,

That sounds like a really good idea, I think I will do the same, probably be cheaper than the RCM one too

I don't want to record the Mum's personal details or anything like that, just type of delievery pain relief used, etc.

It's for my own use, something to look back on so I can reflect on the births I have witnessed and been a part of.

I just thought it would be nice to have.
