Default Lovely comment

I have been back at uni today after 4 weeks of placement, and feeling a bit deflated after a very mixed experience in the different clinical areas.

So, it was lovely when one of the tutors who had done the clinical skills re-sit came up and said how well I had done.

She also said that the other tutor that had been there (who I had never met before) said that 'I would make a very quiet, caring midwife'

I was really touched by that, and it has really helped me to feel better after the ups and downs of the last few weeks.

Sometimes its just the little things that we say or do that make a world of difference to people. I agree, you will make a fantastic midwife and you did really really well kicking those re-sits up the backside!!

We are all so proud of you and we love you trillions xx

The little things that we don't even realise we are doing or saying, but just 'do' usually

Thanks so much TallPoppy, I am just really pleased to have it behind me now. Just got to get the results of my assignments next week now.

We all need a bit of a boost now and again to re-affirm what we know but sometimes too afraid or not confident enough to ackowledge. You can do this and you have shown your determination and grit by passing second time round. Well done and a little compliment goes a very long way.

Now that I have told you how wonderful you are - . What is your uniform like for hospital ??

Thanks hunni,

You know, I am slowly coming round to the idea, that this is meant to be for me, I have until now expected someone to come up to me and say that they are very sorry but they have made a mistake, and there isn't a place for me after all

I waited so long to be in a position to follow my dream, when it finally happened I didn't believe it lol.

The uniform for the hospital I am based at (not sure if they are all the same, but will find out ) is a white tunic and blue pants, we also get a fleece jacket and a waterproof jacket.

Love Pauline xx

I still can't believe it yet either. I still check UCAS - sad I know!! I have still got to make my choice but am fairly certain I will be joining you. My first choice for hospitals was Oldham. Have to get on that diet as I am built for comfort not speed!!

Hi hunni,

I kept checking UCAS too, just in case someone had changed their mind, so your not alone lol.

Well, if you do finally decide to join me it will be great to have you there, that is where I am based, and I wouldn't worry too much about the diet, in my experience not all midwives resemble models, and they do just fine

Love Pauline xx
