Default How does everyone organise things?

I am just curious really

I am realising very quickly that I am very disorganised as far as my uni stuff goes, I have lecture notes, guidelines, booklets, articles etc all over the place, and can never find what I want when I need it without searching for ages I have recently moved bedrooms too which doesn't help either lol.

Anyone else like this?

For those super organised out there, how do you sort and store your stuff so that it is out of the way, but yet easy to find?

I could do with a magic wand at the moment

Hmmm. Well, I am not that organised. But am learning to be. I have box files mainly for articles and these are named by subject. The journals are marked by relevant current and future articles and are kept separately. It has helped when looking for articles instead of having to thumb through lots of journals.

Otherwise if I cannot find anything, it doesn't take much for me to sit in a defeated crying mess and want to give up before I even start (the shame of it) so I have devised this system, so at least I have an idea whether I have any articles or not. Works for me.

I do still have a pile of articles and the like aroung the pc for weeks on end though, I would love an enormous corner desk to put it all on, alas I don't have the readies for that. I do love cleaning it all up and putting it away when I have submitted an essay though, bliss...

Well, you sound more organised than I am, although I like to think of it as organised chaos

Not much good when you need to find something though. The box files sound a good idea, I may have to invest in some of them I think.

I am not the right person to answer.

My filing system comprised of a shelf full of beautifully organised and labelled white lever arch folders, which contained the work of the first semester of the first year. The remaining work was in a big pile, which I would panickingly rummage through, whilst sweating and using language other than the Queen's English, on the morning that I needed the article which was to be found somewhere near the bottom. Or upstairs somewhere. I have been qualified over two years now, and The Pile was only sorted through just before Christmas when we got a new desk.

You described my filing system perfectly Dory Nice to know I am not the only one that's like that
