What's that you say?

I can't remember that word? Life was it?

No, no idea what you're talking about!

I love this course and wouldn't be doing anything else, but I do miss my kids and get soooo tired

But it is going very quickly (too quickly!) and all too soon it will be over, then they'll be no rest trying to get a job, then working (hopefully) then consolidating, etc, etc...

I don't miss my old life though, it was boring..

I know exactly how that feels. Its been on my mind alot resently.

I feel like my life is on hold. If i think of something its alwasy followed with 'once i have finished the course'. im staring to get frustrated. I love the course but, im abit older that most of the girls on the course and its hard. I cant wait to just get things in place and focus on enjoying my life and future.

I was just going to start a thread on families and study, then I found this one. I wanted to know how everyone felt as I start my course this year. I am hoping my kids will still see me and I'll have time to do things with them but it worries me. I hope they can adjust to my hours.

I felt like you, I know it is a worry.

How old are yours?

Mine are 4 and 8 and it was tough at the start (though they got used to me doing the access course and the hours are similar) placement can be difficult sometimes, depending on your shifts. But it does go quickly, and its worth it!

If you have good, flexible childcare, you won't worry about them. Sounds bad, but I don't think about them much on placement as I am too busy!

Mine are 4,6 and almost 8. I find they are coping great so far, but again I have good childcare. I find the worst is if I do long days two days on the run, as I they don't see me for 2 days, but I have only ever done that once, with no intention of doing it again (our uni don't like us doing LD's anyway, but its easier said than done when trying to follow one mentor).
