You can't access articles as far as I know without subscribing, which I think is wrong.

Even when you subscribe to The Practising Midwife you can't access any articles online from them.
Thanks for that Link Shoshana, I will have a look at that.

You have to be an NCT member to get New Gen. However, you can access lots of information via the NCT web site: www.nctpregnancyandbabycare.com

BTW don't know why the previous link showed so many ////////////s !

I agree, I have considered trying to cut down on my journals as money is so tight, but can't as the access to them is so ness.

I have to use RCM too for their library of articles, and can get online versions of them for assignments which is ace as it is free.

Midirs is far better than the uni search and then I go into uni and get the MIDIRS,TPM, and BJM articles. It does cost though as then I have to buy photocopy credits too.

I think it is wrong that we are expected to pay for access to articles to be honest, we already pay the subscription in the first place, then have to pay again to read the ones we want.

BJM is expensive isn't it? Our uni stopped subscribing cos it was too expensive (however we found a way round it, not sure how!!) It is really good though, and alot of articles seem to use it for referencing don't they? I get Midirs too, but at the beg' I was a bit overwhelmed with the literature x

Yes, it's too expensive for me too. I find article I may need from there and photocopy at uni.

I also get midwifery matters, forgot about that! it's brilliant

I wasn't aware that there is now a journal called Midwifery Matters. I thought there was just a study with that name. Thanks for that info.
