I think share the chocolates if you want and just tell your student how well she did. Praise would be great to hear.xx

LOL @ Sassy!! Yep I agree with the others, share the chocs, give her a huge pat on the back and keep the card to yourself.

I have a welcome update to this post.

When I returned to work, following my holiday, my student was very eager to tell me that she had received a card and a box of chocolates, from the same couple! They had written a lovely personal message in her card too.

(Don't quite know what happened with the 2 cards, but she received hers several days after mine.)

Heheh Sassy!!

It's good to know your student was recognised, too, Shoshana. It is a shame that some students may be overlooked.

I have a confession, however.. during my first pregnancy I wrote on my care plan that I wouldn't like to be delivered by a student.. cringe..

Probably to do with being a bit scared and naive; by my third labour I wouldn't have minded who delivered me.. maybe not the window-cleaner..

May my penance include never to receive any chocolates

Nice story, Shoshana x

If I was I would share the chocs and say they were for you both and not show the card.

Aww that's lovely Shoshana,

So pleased the student got a card and chocolates too. Although for me personally, just being thanked personally by the couple makes my day, without the need for anything else.

Before I got to this post I was going to ask if there was any chance the student had got her own card. So glad she did. What a thoughtful couple!
