some -1 you could just tip out of the pelvis they are so loose, but when doing ve's you are not really looking for 'ballotableness' are you? So at -1 is reaching with a bit more than a fingertip for me.
Ah. think I am confusing you more
Dont worry not everyone gets it, i certainly dont, but descent is one of the things i do get.
position? - pah, not a chance!!

but the head being well- applied is relative to Ve in relation to Induction for example as you would not perform ARM if the head was high and ballotable would you? that said there probably would not be sufficent dilation to perform ARM anyway, but apparently this is not always the case!

well, more practice for me for the relative thing maybe. ho hum....

you guys have totally lost me

all ive learnt is 3/5 palpable is engaged

we have been told 5/5 is free head ballotable

4/5 palpable means 1/5 in pelvis
2/5 palpable means 3/5 in pelvis

as for the i think its ischial (sp) spines i know thats what you feel for in a VE but we learn that in a few weeks

you lot are scaring me now
