What happens when you're ill?

so what happens if you are ill and unable to make lectures at uni? How do you make this time up and where?

You have to read around the topic of the lecture, and have a one to one with the tutor that was taking the session. You have to fit it in around the tutor and your other lectures, so could be either early morning before lectures, lunchtime or after lectures.

that's HARSH!!
we can have 15 sick days of uni over 3 years, anymore than that they you're out. If you are off, you are off, and it's down to you to catch up on your own.

Yes, it is harsh, but I guess it makes you only take time off when absolutley necessary.

We are not allowed anytime off at all...

If we are ill we have to take a flexi day..... At the end of the year before the 3 week summer hols we have 3 weeks flexi time in which we make up any days we have missed.... If we have not had any time off then we get the 3 weeks flexi time off as well as the summer hols... So 6 weeks off... yay!!

are these flexi days in uni? ie like Midwifemissy where you have to have a tutorial with the lecturer?

no placement days...
if we miss uni days we have to do an essay/research the topic of the lectures that we missed and hand that in as proof of making up the time

blimey again!!
we always have to make placement hours that we miss.....that's statutory i believe, so you qualify having done the right amount of hours.
But as I said, miss uni for whatever reason, it's down to you!
