Default What makes a good/bad student - Calling all mentors!!!
Hi all i've read lots of posts on what makes a good mentor!! Thought it
would be interesting for all the mentors on here to post what they feel
makes a student good/bad to mentor!!! Yeah its not always the mentors
who are hard to work with lol xxx
suppose i should start then:-

1. Turns up at time arranged.
2. Dressed appropriately, with ID badge.
3. Communicates with myself and women and their famillies.
4. Eager to learn, shows a real interest.
5. Always has a black pen plus a spare for me!! Ha ha
6. Asks questions even if you think its a daft one but at appropriate
time!
7. Knows when to be quiet and just observe.
8. Prepared to have a go at anything!
9. Even if you think you already know it all you dont correct me infront
of the woman!!!
10. Chocolates and thankyou card on last day always appreciated!!!

Please take in the good humour this is meant but yes i have had some nightmare students!!! But mostly fantastic ones

What a great post, will be interesting to see the replies. As far as I am aware, I can tick most (if not all) of those boxes, but even if I can't, then enthusiasm at the appropriate time has to count for something lol.

Rio it must be a standard part of being a student as i helped my mentor with her computer as well . She even gave me some chocolates for helping her.
