Well.........i'm really lucky. I only have a 10 min walk to the uni. But when i'm in placement it takes me between 30 and 40 mins. So i'm pretty lucky really.

it should only take me 15 mins for my placement which i will go by car too, which is great. would be terrible to have to go by public transport from where i live, its not regular and unreliable. last bus at 7 so that would be no good!!xx

Uni is about a 45 minute drive on clear roads.
Placement varies from a 20 minute to my closest placement and an hour drive to my furthest.

About 40 mins by car

Placement is closer at ten minutes by car, I have thought about cycling due to imminent withdrawal of parking permits, however I don't think this is an option as it is highly likely I would not make it there!

it will take me 2o mins to get son to childminder, 40 mins on the train, 30/40 min walk up hill from station to uni. or 5 mins in taxi from station...and cost a fortune thinking of begging cohort members for lifts *looks at claireyfairy*

40 minutes on a good day to uni - 2+ hours on a bad! Placement is about an hour for good days and goodness knows how long on the bad! We have a lady on our course that travels from reading to bristol every day but she's so happy to be doing the course I think she'd still be doing it with a smile on her face if she was coming from timbuk tu!

i must be really lucky. Only ten minute walk to uni and a 20min walk to the hospital. Feel sorry for the people who have to travel a long way especially if your doing shifts on placement!
