no not healthcare courses in general
the clause covers:

dentistry
GP's
opticians i think though not 100% sure
pharmacists
architects (?!)
town and country planners (?!)

the only students that can get second loans is if they are doing back to back courses (eg, there is a time period of 5 years in which you can apply and reapply). After that you are treated as someone who cannot make up their mind want they want to do in life and in danger of being a perpetual student and borrowing lots of money and never paying it back!

it annoys me as I graudated '96, paid it back in '99 and have never borrowed again. I appealed as i thought i had a strong case for justifying why i am doing a second degree.......but apparantly not!

out of the 'loads of people' you know who have second loans i would be interested to know on what basis they qualified for them if they falloutside of the clause or the 5 year rule.

Hmm they probably don't fall outside of the "five year rule" as they're under 25 so would have graduated first time at 21

erm, dunno!
are you still paying back the other one?
you should be entitled if your loan was within the last five years. I would try to appeal, they can only say no, but they might jsut say yes!!
