Not read this post for a while but just to be clear, I don't carry diary covers or pens or anything promoted by any company related to pregnancy and birth. I do, however, have a VE guide on my shelf at home that it admittedly made by cow and gate, but I don't think that breaches any trust or NMC standards!

re: the VE guides, just scribble out the logo with permanent marker...........voila!!!!!

I have to be honest, I could not have managed my early VE's without this guide, one page also shows you how to record the VE in the patient notes.............. invaluable when your head is stuffed full of 'new stuff'
I do agree that midwives and students should not advertise anything, especially artificial milk, but despite trawling the internet, have never found anything that comes close to these guides...........hey, think I have just discovered a niche in the market ;-)

I bought a cheap academic one from tesco, but it isn't ideal as it is spiral bound and won't fit in my diary cover lol.

I also have a little RCM one which I got free with the journal due to being a member.

I prefer the academic ones for uni personally, but take the little one on placement with me so I can write down my shifts, and it is easy to put in my folder with my paperwork.

I've just got the one from uni, but I've got a lovely breastfeeding diary cover on it, which I love!

I got one given to me from uni, but the lecturer only had a few, so those that didn't have a diary to fit got a pen lol.
