hahhahahaha Mandy I love your posts our shower at home does that, if you dont change it back to taps then once you go to run a bath you get a full on face shower..... many a time a soaked kid has come down from the bathroom when asked to pop up and run a bath. Everytime they think its a set up, I only wish it was then Id remember to change it when I run their baths..........

I tried to move a dynamap (sp?) yesterday that was still plugged into the wall, and nearly sent a trolley full of clean linen skidding down the corridor

I was asked to take a blood sample to the pod put it in the capsule and placed it in the machine and while I stood there looking for the destination code it whooshed off to god knows where! Had to go back and explain to my mentor she must have thought I was a right knob! The ones where I work you put the sample in first and select destination but not the ones on placement nooooo they just have to be frack to brunt just to confuse you

I was sent to do the obs for some ladies this morning, and I was feeling rather put out as I would rather have been helping to provide care for a labouring lady my mentor was looking after.

Anyway, I got the dinamap ready on this lady's arm, put tempadot under her tongue, took BP reading and removed the tempadot and noted her temp and BP on my sheet.

Started to walk out of her cubicle and came to an abrupt halt, the Bp cuff was still firmly round her arm lol, I felt such an idiot, but thankfully both the woman and her partner saw the funny side of it.

My face goes red just thinking about what I did last week:
I was demonstrating how to sit on the birth ball to a labouring woman and her husband, as I sat down on the ball I lost my balance and went backwards over the ball knocking over the poor partner and also the trolley with delivery instruments. I was so horrified and what was worse is they are people I know personally and everytime I see them I will remember what happened.

How about meeting a girl plus pushchair (a small clue) in hospital corridor and saying "Hello, I know you from somewhere don't I?" Reply... "Yes, you delivered him" pointing to baby in pushchair!! How embarrassing!!!

Her reply, with a completely straight face was 'you need to look a bit lower'. I was only trying to put it in her clitoris!!!

My friend was doing a VE and told her mentor that she couldn't define position. Her mentor very calmly told her that it was because she was examining the poor womans anus!

Who ever decides that we are fit to be let loose on the public?
OMG sorry but that has me crying with laughter

Had clinic today, and i was testing urine and i dropped the whole pot of stix down the sink. The sink is like a fluid flush one if that makes sense and I had to put my hand in and pick up all the stix coz i was scared it might block up(my mentor had just nipped out thank god!!!)

And my lady had a right giggle at it i was soo embarrased and so glad my mentor never found out....
