Not sure if it's been disproven but they are just saying it's not true!! Not sure what the evidence base is. Think the problem with these things is that you can never really know what will happen if you give it or not? That doesn't really make sense but can't get the words out that I'm trying to say!!

Know what you mean hun. Just picked up the article again and they've said "although the evidence is inconsistent an association cannot be excluded". In other words they don't have a clue... Just wish they would get a firmer foundation for the assumptions before brandishing them about and causing uncessary anquish to parents at already a daunting (all be it exciting) time. xxx

HaHa ;0) Soapbox is good though... What about the fiasco with the MMR vaccination not that long ago. Even Tony Blair would not say if he was going to let his son have it. That did an amazing amount of damage in the publics confidence and no doubt the effects of which we will see for many years to come...

I told you not to get me started!!! My brother is 8 now now but he was due to be vaccinated round about the time of the "scare" and I know my mum put a hell of a lot of thought and worry as to whether to give him it or not, and if I remember correctly Mr Blair went private and had Leo vaccinated seperately, although not sure if that was a rumour at the time. In the end my mum waited until Ryan was just starting school and he had his MMR then. But I agree with what you said earlier..anything to save a few pennies regardless of the long term effects.

Its not easy being a parent is it!! We agonise over everything because we just want to do right by our children, the most precious gifts we can be given, and I feel the government does not ease that burden. Throw us a freaking bone here people.... as Austin Powers would so eloquently put it. HaHa ;0)
