| I've read a few posts and quite a few of you seem to have kids - how many do you have, and what ages? how supportive are your other halves? and how are you planning to merge study and family time? My LO is 10 months, but will be 2 1/2 by the time I start. My OH will have her in the afternoons and she'll be at pre-school/nursery in the mornings. That's the plan anyway...

| I have 2 kids, DD is 4 and a half and my DS is 3 at the end of the month. My OH works 4 on 4 off so when he isnt at work he has the kids but if hes working my mum lives round the corner from me so she has them. My DD is at nursery every afternoon though. Im finding its working very well at the moment.XX

| I have one child. My boy is three next month. He'd be 3 and half when I start if I start this September. ATM OH works 6 on, 4 off so him combined with MIL and nursery would be my childcare arrangements, though not sure what would happen if on nights and OH is working as he'd leave before i got back on an early and not get back til I'd already left on a late!

| I have three kids, who were 2, 4, and 6 when I started my training on the 3 year course. It was hard at times, trying to fit everything in, and there were times I wondered why I was putting my family through it - it would be true to say that the whole family takes on the course, not just the student. There are always the days when one of the kids wants you to e at home and you just can't be - it's heartbreaking at the time and you feel so selfish, but I figured that it would be the same whether I was a st m/w or working elsewhere. The key is to making sure you have some family time each week that the course does not intrude upon no matter what, and making sure you keep up to date with things - if you get behind it's reeeaalllyy hard to catch up.

| she does have LO's overnight. Actually, she comes and stays here and when I come home in the morning she is just walking out the door with them and taking them to school! but as I say she is super duper expensive! So and overnight stay is usually time and a half and can sometimes cost me about £100 just to do a ngihtshift! OUCH................

| I've got 1 child, she's 5 next week, this course was alot easier when she was at nursery but now she's at school, not only are the hours different, and I really miss our dossy days/mornings together so no flexibility now which is sad but also have to call in favours from my mum all the time due to breakfast club starting at 8am and my shift starting at the same time. My OH works 6am-2pm but about 35 miles away so he can't do anything in a morning but at least he's there for picking her up from school. The other thing is she has adopted a great big attitude problem since starting school so thats made it more difficult.
