Default pre regestration (edge hill)

yippeee got a letter from Edge Hill uni this morning. They have invited me do attened an iterview on monday the 18th of feb, They have requested a 1000 word essay on either
1 home birth
2 the roll of the partner in pregnancy and childbirth
3 the midwifes role as an educator in health
4 Breast feeding and the midwifes role
(the one i choose has to be submitted one week before interview)

plus on the day of interview I have to sit a maths test and also do a timed written assesment

actually think i should be saying christ almighty not yippeee hahaha

Brill news Michelle! any thoughts on what topic youd like to look at? you'll find lots of resources in the education section on all subjects and in assignments there's essay writing tips and referencing help

thanks for the advice and support J, I am thinking I would like to do Breastfeeding, but I have a feeling a lot of the applicants may chhose that subject and I would like my essay to stand out. x

heyy Michelle!!
I have my interview on that day too!!!
im really worried bout the maths test .. maths inst exactly my best subject!
I think im going to do breast feeding aswell as thats the subject i have most info on! but im kinda woried that lots will do that 2... we just have to make sure our passion shines through

gd luck any way!!

hopefully i will be studying with you in the near future =D

good luck michelle
hope it goes well. Personally think i would pick home birth. Take a pro choice point of view, look at models such as netherlands and their incidence of HB (good article in this months TPM) but emphasise MW role as adovocate of woman and supporting her whatever she chooses. Chuck in the NMC Code of conduct 2004, NICE guidelines and maybe the DoH Midwifery matters and you're laughing!

thanks all I have coosen homebirth Joisie has given me some amazing info and support with this.

mine is at 1 oclock yours will be to proably because the letter tells you to allow up to four hours for the interview. yeah I will keep my eye out for you I'm wearing a brown mutil dress don't know if I should wear it now every one seems to be wearing pants. xx
