Default Driving

At present i dont drive, obviously i will have to learn as the buses aren't frequent enough for me to catch between deliveries and post/pre natal appointments!

Anyway, will this affect me getting onto the uni course?

I will be learing to drive but wasn't planning on starting straight away.

I don't see that it would affect you getting onto the midwifery course, though it may be detrimental for being able to cope/stay on the course if you think travel will be an issue. If you're planning on applying to a city university with plenty of public transport links, it'll take time to get to placements, but you'd do it. However, if you're in a more rural spread out area with less transport (like where I am and will be traveling from/to) you may have more of a problem.

Lots of students dont drive and its not an essential criteria for the course but would be desirable. Non drivers get public transport or share lifts, theres lots of ways round it

I got a place, and I don't drive, I won't be able to start lessons until after I qualify due to my financial situation.
