How do you learn?

My god, yes. I hate powerpoint vehmently, it is a lazy lecturers tool.

We go to lots of lectures where the entire thing is read to us and it sends me into a coma.

What do you think should be done then?
Obv when I taught it was very practical, but there were elements I did that prob very few do.

Midwifery is very hands on and practical (obv don't really like the acadaemia, but understand its importance) so why not be more interactive
and hands on?

To keep the Cohort awake and interested, in the academic side of learning, there should be more involvement from the Chohort get some questions flying round the room, get some sort of interaction from the Chorot instead of sending them to sleep with wreched POWER POINTS, I understand we have a lot to learn but surely there has to be a better way!! a more interesting way,
what did lecturers do before power point. x x

I have a really weird way of learning! In my access course all my cohort thought I was going to fail as I never did anything in class. I am easily distracted and find it hard to concentrate so I tend to switch off in class and then go home and read everything and absorb it. Turned out I completed my access with the highest marks in the class

You know.. I hardly ever made notes in class... at all... Hence worrying about note taking in uni!

I mainly learned when me and my friends used to talk about the lecture after the lecture, when we had a break and a coffee! I love group discussions!!
