Default What are you looking forward to / dreading the most??

Hi all you prospective students,

Just wondering what you are all most
looking forward to and most dreading as you start your path into the
world of midwifery?

Somebody asked me this question before I began the course. I remember that it changed on an almost daily basis for the first 6 months...lol

Now I am experiencing the same feelings all over again as I near the end! What a rollercoaster this course is - but I wouldn't change any of it - not even the really tough times, as I know that I am a better person for it.

Definitely NOT looking forward to doing my first VE! what do I do with my thumb....? what do I talk about......? do I confess it's my first time......?

I've wanted to train for so long, and although I've absolutely loved being an MCA, I can't wait to get qualified! I know I've got a fab cohort as most of them are on here! Oh, and of course an extended cohort thru this site - I know I'll survive anything if I've got you guys here to chat too!

Can't wait!

I'm looking forward to leaving a job I hate and starting on the path to the career I'd love.

I'm dreading having to put the little one into nursery fulltime! ... though I think he'll cope better than I will!

I look forward to starting Uni, studying midwifery and getting to witness my first birth as a student.

I dread leaving my kids, doing essays and having to miss some things with the kids.

This is a good one...makes us put our thoughts in order!!
Im looking forward to meeting my cohort, learning about stuff im actually interested in, training for a passion and moving 2 1/2 hours away from London coz I've always wanted 2 get away
Im dreading moving 2 1/2 hours away from home:P I know this is a contradiction but the one thing thats hit me recently is that i wont be able to walk round the corner to some of my best friends houses, or jus ring them up and go for walks or do crazy things with my 3 sisters..
I've always known I'd move away for uni, just never thought it through!!
