Do not buy anything off of ebay until you have checked whether it is available elsewhere cheaper or free. I often see bids for books that could be brought cheaper new elsewhere.

Breastfeeding diary covers are free from the DH

Buy a stethoscope (don't want an ear infection from the ward ones, thanks), don't buy a sphyg. Buy loads of black clicky pens (so no lids to fiddle with) and a tiny notebook that will fit in a pocket to write random stuff down.

Definitely get your own textbook, which one depends on personal preference. I never got round to getting my own and wish I had TBH. Having to keep renewing or going to the library was a pain!!!
Agree with Canu Gess aswell about Ebay. Have seen people bidding on SO many things that are free/cheaper elsewhere.
And the note book is a MUST!!! Esp when you are going from one trust to another as their guidelines can differ so much. I have worked with qualified MWs who still use theirs!!!
I would also recommend getting a VE guide. They are good to reinforce in your own mind your findings as well as a visual aid for mum too see her progress.

I have one, and I have covered the logo with black ink so it isn't visible.
