Hi....I was asking the same questions of a midwife recently, wondering what I should read up on, swop up on etc..before starting training in Sept. She adv me to just relax, enjoy the summer and wait until the course starts! So thats what I am going to do.........until the 1st edition of my Practising Midwife comes through the door!!!!!
