I can also see both sides of it- there is a private message option on facebook- therefore it was a little silly of them not to use that- as a cohort we use facebook threads to communicate- and yes, that does mean ranting about the more negative aspects of work sometimes too- but it's only between us, noone else has access to it.

Also, i feel a little saddened, they obviously felt unsupported by their management and could not approach them about certain issues.

Dont worry though- developing a thicker skin is part of learning to be a midwife (i have realised) so just don't join in in the bitchiness and you will sail through xxxxx
