Question question??? sphyg?

What is a sphg ???

I saw them alongside a stethoscope or some came together (nice patterns!)

Just dont know what they are !!!

They are the part that records the blood pressure...the little dial that has the numbers on, when you pump the cuff up, then release the valve, the pressure is seen on the sphyg (dial type thingy).

Not a very good explanation, but hope you can make some sense of it lol.

Ok so with the packs that contain the spyg and a stethoscope is that every thing you would need to do someones bp ???

Yes it is hun, you can either get them together as a set, or sperately like I did.

My community mentor gave me my stethoscope, so I only had to buy the sphyg which was good.

I bought my own so that I could practise at home. It isn't essential, but I did find it useful to have.

The Sphyg is the actual instrument for measuring the BP x I wouldn't go and buy one as they are always available on placement. Own stethoscope might be an idea, as its more hygienic. Only my opinion though x
