The diary cover that I have from in-practice doesn't have any advertising of Cow and Gate on it. It's just a brown diary cover with the in-practice website written on in the corner.

I only ordered 20 as well - I am going to use them to give to the women on the wards when I do my breastfeeding peer support in the next few weeks

Ditto, Edith. I felt that comment was a little shirty and quite offensive. I was also going to use my pens on placement as I think my first will be either community or postnatal. Ideal for BF info. Though to be fair, I don't see why I should have to answer to anyone as to how I'd use them.

I always bulk order and share between my cohort. Even if I keep all the pens, so what, the staff are always 'borrowing' my pens and never returning them, reckon I could do with as many as I can get thank you very much.

Now now ladies!!!
No need to take offence at anything, what we do however have to remember is that the resources were very limited and some surestart centre's and other breastfeeding organisations did not get any thing apart from the leaflets!! Some breastfeeding cafe's didnt get anything to give to Mum's. Public money paid for those things, I think it is completely different when it is from a company e.g a drug or medical equipment company as they have cash specifically to use!!We are all entitled to our opinion and no one should take offence.

apologies if I offended anyone. I didnt mean to...I was just explaining how meek and meesly I am and how I worry about everything. I wasn't saying everyone should be like me and only order 1 item of each....I'm sorry if it has been taken the wrong way.
Hormones seem to be running particularly high on here at the moment, I have noticed it in a few threads recently....hence the reason I have been extremely quiet recently, being petrified of confrontation...which according to Dory will disappear when I start in sep. But just to remind people, we are all on here to support each other not to niggle at each other, and I am not accusing anyone of that, we all have our opinions and are allowed to voice them but we're not attacking each other. Maybe if we think someone is getting at them send a polite PM to tell them how you feel. Again this is only my idea and I am not aiming it at anyone in particular, just throwing it out into the open. (I dunno how many times I have written that recently...being over paranoid of upsetting people I think) X |
