10 Weeks 2 Days Omg

I really cannot believe that in less than 11 weeks I will be starting uni (scary or what!!) I am sure I am not the only one who is feeling like this.

I know I am only feeling like this because I am entering the great unknown.

I have always been very confident, but I am not feeling very confident at the moment. I am very passionate about Midwifery but what if this is not enough. I am feeling a little wobbly to be honest.

I know there are lots of prospective students on this site and it would be great to hear how your feeling about starting in Spet08/Jan09.

I would also love to know how present sudents felt before starting uni, and wheather your fears were unjust.

I would also love know how you prepared/preparing yourself for uni.

I am really looking forward to reading all your replys, I am sure we can all offer each other support.................support in this house is thin on the ground at the moment so glad I have you gals. x x

Hiya hun!

ARGHHHHH I know!

I can only explain it as a complete mix of emotions! One minute I am so so excited, the next I am petrified! So glad we're going to the same place lol! You're going to have to be my support and witness all my crazy petrified nervous behaviour lol!

I am terrified of the first day cos am crap bein by meself! I hope I can get myself there lol, and I have a terrible fear I'm gona be sat on my own all day! I know I sound a bit ridiculous! Cos I am incredibly shy in person and will not speak :P

Apart from that, I can't wait to begin my training! Going to be the best three years of my life I hope! I just hope it works out better than my previous degree!

awww hun, ur so lovely thankyou but ya not pickin me up if am out of ya way haha! It's just how a feel inside lol, gona be the scariest day of my life haha and I can't wait!

It is a mad feeling!! I am so dizzy with excitement yet really scared too. I feel like I am 5 again and going to big school!!

It is rollercoaster of emotions and there will be so many changes not just for me but for my family too. I am trying to prepare them to be more independent and also trying to get myself super organised.

I do already know at least 4 of my cohort so won't feel like a complete "Billy no mates".

hahah i felt like a total billy no mates. I moved 2 hours away from home the day before going to uni, and knew none of my cohort. looking back i dont know why i wasnt feelin more scared!!

the only thing i can say is that you will make friends quickly, read if you can (i didn't do any lol!!) keep yourself busy so the time goes quicker, and hold on to your hats, it goes fast.

This course will change your life, so enjoy the ride xxx

Its 13 weeks til my course starts I start 13th October out on first placement on 10th November!! Scary or what!!
Luckily i already know about 10 of my cohort as have had a couple of meeting with them.
I am sooo nervous and not sure what expect when i get there. I am scared that when i go out on first placement i am not gonna know enough....ARRGGHH!!!

But i really cant wait!!!!

Hi all!!! I have been sooooooooooo excited about starting up untill about... now.... I'm now beginning to panick abit about if I'm going to be good enough, if I can manage to keep up with the pace, if I'll ever get to see my kids!!
Went to a pre course day last week at my uni which was great, we were given 2 presenation assignments to prepare for our first day!! Now I know they will not expect them to be perfect but I'm stressing about getting it just right, very nervous about speaking in front of lots of people but I'll have to get used to it!
Sressing abit about busary aswell as still had nothing!
