hols
Does anyone know out of interest how long a student midwives hols are a year cos they dont get normall uni holidays if i remember rightly do they??

2 Easter? Lucky you! This year we got 2 Christmas, one Easter but 4 Summer - bring on the Summer hols, I'm exhausted...
 At our Uni the summer hols can vary quite greatly - ours start on 11th August this year. I think this may be because they stagger them as they want to ensure that some students can still be in placement when there are less of us about... that's just a guess though!

We also apparently get 3/4 weeks non contact study added onto our summer hol... but will obviously have work to do

Yes, but whatever holidays you do get - most of them will be spent studying and writing essays. The 3 weeks in the summer are the only hols that have felt like a holiday for the last 3 years.

Not long enough!!
We get 7 weeks. 2 xmas, 2easter and 3 summer although not necessarily in the kids school hols (maybe a good thing   ) We get study leave before an exam but boy do you need it...no retail therapy or enjoying yourself otherwise it will be to your detriment. I need a holiday already...am so so tired after an 11 hour shift with ten mins break!!!

we get 7 weeks
so far we have had 2 weeks in may (not school hols), 3 weeks in sept ( we finish as the kids go back to school) then 2 weeks in jan but every uni varies
