I was so interested to read this as I myself applied for midwifery and nursing having completed my access course 4 years ago and been advised that nursing was another way in. I failed to get offered a midwifery place twice and resolved to go the "long way aound" and do the nursing course as I was offered a place.
I have had to work really hard, grit my teeth and keep going just to complete my nursing degree. I have completed long hours, god knows how many assignments and struggled cursed and sweated the last years away - to do it the "easy way".
Please please please do not give up on your dreams, I can happily say I have just been offered a plcae on the conversion course for midwifery but it was a long hard slog to get there. It will be worth it

Good luck to you all
