Access course, what do you need??

Hello all *waving*

I got my start date I am going to be starting on the 8th September

. I never recieved a list of things I need. Will it just be basic things like ring binders etc??

Yep, ring binders, pens, paper. We needed a scientific calculator and a geometry set for numeracy and also a memory stick for IT (which was hugely useful for everything else too)

Yes , i think we got a book list when we had our first day ??
I ended up with a folder for each subject !!! But then i go a bit over the top !!!
So a good bag is a good idea !!

All of the above and loads of plastic hole-punched wallets (you'll be given lots and lots of bits of paper!)

Can I add a bit of advice here?... when you get all these bits of paper write the date on straight away... This way you know when they were given and what assignments they go with etc! Sounds a bit anal but helps when filing it away and digging it back out again for revision to match it up with any notes you have made during the lessons!

(it also helps if any classmates have missed handouts - it's easy to work out which ones they need to photocopy! I had this a few times)

Or a hole punch ( I don't like poly pockets because you can't see the dividers). Oh, yes, dividers too!

You can get extra wide dividers at staples that have room for poly pockets... or do what i do and put the dividers in poly pockets too! (I'm just a cheapskate!) (cut holes in the side so the tab sticks out)
