Ok who has done / doing open uni ????

I will be starting in october on course k 101.
The reason i'm asking is that i have been sent some forms about pc grants ?? The thing is i am hopefully only going to be with the open uni for a year till i ( fingers crossed ) start uni next september. The paperwork says about doing this course towards your degree ... etc .So would i be able to apply for the help ???
If any one has done k100 i would appreciate any advice regarding this, esp if you was only with the open uni for a year .

I got my forms yesterday and sent them off, Im aimimg to do a few courses, whilst I wait for the kids to grow up abit!!
I have just reread the letter, and im not sure what would happen if you were just doing a year. I would give them a ring as you are still studying a 60pt course which would result in a certificate.

I dont see how i can justify needing a new computer as i already have one ???

But it does say about needing exclusive access ??? Does having children fighting over msn count ??? ( i would like a laptop ?? it does mention one in the form ?? )
But the paper work talks about CONTINUING study ???

See i dont want to sound like someone who is trying to get something for nothing...but if i am entitled to it ????

I was unsure too, but the PC is crap and everso slow and the laptop is old too with regards to the operating system, and also my partner sometimes needs it for work!! and there is the kids!!

The email address is on the letter, send an email to ask, as you are only doing a 1 year course, would you still be able to apply for the grant.

I'm starting K101 too this Sept and got the PC forms today.....bought myself a new bloody computer last week, sods law! Might just get another anyway......keep the kids occupied so I can study in peace.

No I'm not, its October not September........I know I've got a memory somewhere, just can't remember where it is.
