Default Another Q please Medway cccu

Hi Again!

Just wondered if you know which days of the week we will be in, as I'm trying to work out if it will be cheaper to buy a weekly rail card or a 7 week one from folkestone to chatham.

Also will I get any help with travel or is it only if I am on a London placement.

Have I made a massive mistake going to Chatham???????????

Hey Squiffy, you'll get your days through when you get started, so they'll give you thsoe when you register and get your bits sorted (student ID card etc..)

You are eligible to claim travel costs to placement if it is further to your placement than it is uni, you can claim the difference, if that makes sense??

hth?

there is not usually a time when you need to be in every day of the week, so a weekly one probably wouldnt work out cheaper for you, as it usually a 3 day a week thing when at uni. When on plcement, community is 5 days a week normally and hospital can be 3 days if doing long shifts and 5 days if doing short shifts. it is only the nurses that get london placements, not MW's, so dont worry

Hi Squ1ffy,

On the website it looks as though we will be in uni on Mondays and Thursdays (9am to 7pm) and for occasional lectures on a Wed morning. Although it states a 7pm finish time is does say that the majority of lectures will be finished by 5.30pm, but you do need to be prepared for the 7pm finish.

Hope I have got this right.

Look forward to meeting you in September

oh pants, just managed to work out a bus route but I woouldn't get in till 930. Better travel by train on those days then!
Finish times are not a problem just arriving, as I'm not driving yet!
thanks x
