CyanosisCyanosis: Cyanosis is an abnormal blue discolouration of the skin and mucous membranes, indicating a problem with the perfusion of oxygen to the body’s tissues. Individuals with an oxygen saturation of less than 90% will normally present with cyanosis. Cyanosis may occur centrally or peripherally. Possible causes: Lung disease. Anaemia. Heart Failure.
