Default StudentMidwife.NET Toolbar....NEW!

The StudentMidwife.NET Toolbar gives you a very very unique research tool, very quick access to new posts, blogs, subscribed threads and who is online.

You can also:
  • Search StudentMidwife.NET or 'Midwifery Sites' very easily directly from the toolbar
  • Listen to the StudentMidwife.NET radio, where you can select your own favourite station - You can listen to the radio regardless of which website you are viewing
  • Be one of the first to know whats new! like 'StudentMidwife.NET' news, features, functionality etc directly through the toolbars 'messages' feature.
Using the toolbar, it is now possible to limit your searches to just 'midwifery sites' (NEW!).... this will drastically reduce the time you spend researching for your essays and assignments, etc. The searches are carried out via google - you still get the obligatory 'sponsored results' that google likes to force on you, but scroll beyond those and you have results that are limited mainly to these sites:-
  • StudentMidwife.NET
  • National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence
  • Department Of Health
  • Nursing and Midwifery Council
  • Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists
  • Confidential Enquiry into Maternal and Child Health
  • Royal College of Midwives
  • Homebirth.org
  • NHS
  • Association of Radical Midwives
  • Online Medical Dictionary
  • Wikipedia
To carry out a midwifery search, first you must change the search method to 'Search Midwifery Sites'.... Do this by clicking the small black down arrow that is inside the search box on the extreme left. This is demonstrated in this image:

The toolbar will also give you a visible indicator of how many blogs there are on the site that you have not yet read

The toolbar will work with Internet Explorer and Firefox. So go on!

Internet Explorer users: Download Here
Mozilla Firefox users: Download Here

For help and support installing, using, or uninstalling the toolbar, please see this page:-
http://www.studentmidwife.net/toolbar.php

If you have any comments or suggestions for the toolbar, then please leave them below (this would include suggestions for other sites to add to the midwifery search)

The Toolbar has now been updated with the new research tool. All those who have already download the toolbar will have the new feature already via an automatic update. I have updated the first post in this thread with details of how to limit searches to midwifery sites.

Hi Missy,

AOL is unfortunatly a browser unto itself. It's not possible to integrate tools like this with AOL. You can however open internet explorer (AOL browser embeds internet explorer anyway) independantly of AOL.
