This is a StudentMidwife.NET initiative to help reduce the problems of making ends meet on a bursary, particularly with kids to support.

The Mums Exchange has been set up for members to seek items they need or to donate items they dont need anymore, all for the cost of post and packaging only.

For those wishing to sell items the Trading Post is well equipped for all your selling and buying needs.

As I was clearing out the boys wardrobe the other day I thought who could use the decent clothes the boys had grown out of? I thought of a member on here and asked her if she could give them a good home and she said she would be happy to.

It made me think well lets facilitate this on here on a bigger scale, that way lots of families can benefit!! So here we are, The Mums Exchange was born.

The idea is that everyone benefits as clothes, toys, shoes etc can be passed between student midwife families and help the bursary go a bit further.

I encourage all of you to post what you are looking for or need and also what you have to send that needs a new home!

You dont neccessarily have to exchange shorts for shoes etc but rather just post up what you have to donate and then people can come forward and claim it!

Obviously this will be more successful with the more people that use it so go sort them cupboards and drawers and then come back and post up what you have and how much the postage would be!

Payment

You should agree postage and package payment and recieve the p&p payment before you send your items to a fellow member.

Wanted

For all items that you want then post up X wanted and be sure to complete the 'wanted' box!

Offered

Again just post a description of what you have to offer and the postage & packing costs. Be sure to put the age/size/boy/girl in the title and click the 'Offered' box!

You can add a picture of your item(s) by clicking on manage attachments and uploading a picture(s) when you post.

Everyone who enters into this initiative does so in good faith. Items that are offered should be in good condition and have a least a fair few wears in them!

So lets extend this lovely warm, supportive community into our homes and kids wardrobes!!!
