Hi there

This year the ARM (Association of Radical Midwives) is holding its Student Conference in Leicester.

It is the 2nd annual conference for the ARM
weds 5th november 2008 9-5
university of Leicester

lunch and refreshments provided all day!!

£35 per person

theme: Burning Issues in Midwifery
chair: Stephanie Meakin
Speakers: MAry cronk, Jane Evans, Soo Downe and Helen Ball

Workshops: Natal Hypnotherapy, HIV and the midwife, Maternal mental Health plus 2 others

students speak on their experiences of international midwifery in Zambia, New York and India.

It promises to be an excellent day

provisional bookings are being taken now and can be made by contacting sarah montagu on sarahmontagu@gmail.com or me Andi Simpson on wallythecat@yahoo.com.
Currently because it is for student midwives (and wannabes) they wll get priority over rm but if the qualifieds who want to come contact me then I will endeavour to secure them a place. There are 200 places avaliable.

Most uni's are quite happy for you to come to study days. And you get a certificate for your portfolio. Want me to provisionally reserve a place for you?

Olly and I went last year and it was brilliant, how far is Leicester from kent? I 'd definately say it is worth going!
